Welding Gas Cylinder Weights, Sizes & Colours

We have copied the specification sheet from the BOC website (above) to help you Understand the colour coding, sizes and weights of gas cylinders According to their website the cylinder label is the primary means of identifying the properties of the gas in a cylinder, whereas the colour applied to the shoulder, or curved part at the top of the cylinder, signifies the European standard colour coding. Please note that a number of industrial gases have been assigned a specific colour based on the hazard risk. Please call for more information.
