Arc Gen Weldmaker 400 CC/CV diesel welder generator

NOTE. All our Arc Gen 330, 400 & 500 stock have had the 110V 32amp auxiliary socket transformer upgrade conversion kit fitted for increased kVA output and bigger fuse / trip rating. This doesn’t come as standard, but our machines will have it included.

Capable of running 9” grinders.

Capable of welding 5.0mm 7018 electrodes.

Capable of welding with up to 100mtr cables on earth and electrode +/- leads.

This machine goes up to 380amps MAX and can weld @ full power for 4 minutes and 6 minutes cool down (before thermal trip cuts the machine out). A diesel welder generatoer should never be used in this way.

6mm air arc gouing carbons require 400amps to burn in smooth, so you’d be having the machine set as full pelt, which is just asking for trouble (the engine will blow up in a short period of time – if the thermal trip stopped working for whatever reason, the machine would be scrap if used in this way).

Air arc gouging tends to requires long duration cuts, so the Arc Gen 500amp is needed. 450amps minimum is needed to gouge 8mm carbons (500amps advised).

The 500 model can only go up to 450amps, and can just about gouge an 8mm carbon @ 450amps for 4 minutes / 6 minutes cool down). The 500amp model does struggle though to gouge 8mm carbons, as 500amps are usually required. 600amps are required and advised for 10mm carbons. Attempting 10mm carbons @ 450amps will result in very slow under powered cuts, and eventually machine failure.

8mm carbons need 500amps

10mm carbons need 600amps

13mm carbons need 1000amps

CAN NOT RUN A 415V COMPRESSOR OFF THE 415V 32AMP AUX SOCKET AT THE SAME TIME AS WELDING
