ESAB OK Autrod 12.22 2.5mm 30kg sub arc wire

OK Autrod 12.22 is a copper-coated, unalloyed wire for Submerged Arc Welding. This wire is suitable to be combined with most ESAB sub arc flux, including OK Flux 10.71.

12.22 has increased Si content, and we recommend neutral fluxes such as OK Flux 10.62 to increase the fluidity of the molten pool.

This S2 wire is designed for 275 grade structural steels, ship building steels, pressure vessel steels, and fine grained steels, etc.

For S355 or DH36 marine grade steel, then a a stronger S3 wire and flux is needed, such as OK Autrod 12.32 and OK Flux 10.62. The S3 combination is adequate to pass a charpy weld test (based on proper procedural parameters) and has sufficient impact @ -60 degrees Celsius and yield strength @ >460 MPa (S355 is 355 MPa).
