We think that the ESAB Rebel 215 is the best single-phase dedicated portable Synergic MIG welder on the market (for the money) for welding 0.8mm solid wire. It’s incredibly heavy-duty, and has all the modern features you could ever want.

Interestingly, when we tested MIG welding 1.0mm aluminium with the MB15 x 3mtr torch, the Rebel 215 wire drive-system had zero snagging issues (with the correct liner, U-drive roller, and 1.2mm contact tip).
